Shipping
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards and orders are sent out within two business days. After the order has been processed and dispatched you will receive an email notification with the estimated date of delivery as well as the tracking number provided by USPS so you may follow the status of your shipment directly. We offer domestic shipping via USPS Priority Mail for a flat rate of $10 with a delivery estimate of 2-3 days and international shipping via USPS Priority Mail for a flat rate of $30 with a delivery estimate of 6-10 days. Free shipping is provided for customers placing an order over $150. The American Vernacular is not responsible for any delays, damage, loss or theft that may occur during shipment and customers must contact USPS directly in reference to any such claims. If an order is not deliverable to the address provided and is refused or returned to sender, the customer is responsible for original flat fee plus any additional shipping costs to resend the package. International customers are responsible for any customs duties incurred in the destination country, please assess these costs with your country’s customs office prior to purchasing.

Returns
Decisions regarding returns are made at our discretion, if you have any questions regarding our policy please feel free to contact us before placing your order and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. Items must be in the same condition as delivered and we will not issue refunds on items that have been worn, altered or damaged. Returns must be properly wrapped in the original packaging with the sales slip included and received within 14 days of delivery (21 days for international orders). Late returns will be subject to a 5% restocking fee per day which will be deducted from refund once issued. Return shipment charges are the responsibility of the customer and non-refundable. The American Vernacular is not responsible for any delays, damage, loss or theft that may occur in transit, customers must contact their shipping provider directly in reference to any such claims. For your protection we strongly recommend choosing a shipping method that includes a tracking number and/or insurance. Once the items have been received and inspected we will send an email verifying that the return has been approved and issue a full refund.
